Intent

We want our children to develop a deep appreciation for a wide range of musical genres. They should be confident in articulating the key musical elements and be able to apply these through performance.

To ensure this knowledge is retained we have carefully planned the knowledge we want the children to learn and when we want them to learn it. The knowledge taught is progressive across the primary phase (in partnership with Widcombe Infant School) and it makes links and connections within and outside of the subject domain.

We use Charanga to deliver our music curriculum.
