Intent:

We encourage our children to develop enquiring minds and analytical thinking skills through an interesting and relevant curriculum. Science continues to change our lives in many ways and learning about scientific knowledge, methods, processes and uses provides the foundations for understanding the world in which we live, today and for the future.  

To ensure this knowledge is retained, we have carefully planned what knowledge we want the children to learn and when we want them to learn it. The knowledge taught is progressive across the primary phase (in partnership with Widcombe Infant School) and it makes links and connections within and outside of the subject domain.
