Safeguarding
BackWidcombe Church of England Junior School (WJS) recognises its moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. We are committed to safeguarding children and young people and we expect everyone who works in our school to share this commitment. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. Adults in our school take all welfare concerns seriously and encourage children and young people to talk to us about anything that worries them. We act quickly and follow our procedures to ensure children receive early help and effective support, protection and justice.
Everyone who comes into contact with pupils has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action. All staff have a responsibility to provide a safe environment in which children can learn.
