We have been lucky enough to go to four brilliant events at the Bath Children’s Literature Festival this week! On Monday, 30 children went to The Assembly Rooms to see Onjali Q Rauf talking about her latest book, The Letter with the Golden Stamp, and what it was like to be a young carer. And, with a quick turnaround, 50 children went to hear AF Steadman talk about her wonderful Skandar and the Unicorn fantasy series and helped her come up with a new unicorn for her next book.

On Wednesday, 50 children headed off to see Adam Kay and his illustrator Henry Paker – they showed us how to draw their latest character, Dexter Proctor! And on Thursday, 20 children went to hear performance poet and author of the wonderful book The Final Year – Matt Goodfellow!

This year, the festival gave every child who attended a School Event a free book signed by the author of the event they went to see!
