Anti-Bullying Week 'Odd Socks' Day
BackWe have been raising awareness of anti-bullying this week. Tuesday was ‘Odd Socks’ day. This is an initiative which encourages everyone to celebrate differences and to stand up against bullying and discrimination. As part of the day, Mrs Seabeck (our Inclusion Manager) led an anti-bullying assembly. The theme for this year was ‘Choose Respect’. The children were invited to imagine a world where respect and kindness thrives including standing up against bullying, whether online or offline and promoting kindness, empathy, and unity. We also revisited the definition of bullying using the acronym STOP (Several Times on Purpose) and spoke about the necessary actions children should take if they experience or witness bullying.
